Methodology
How we rank products
Our goal is to help UK buyers make practical decisions with clear criteria, visible trade-offs, and honest evidence labels.
Evidence labels
Guides must identify how recommendations were produced. The default MVP label is public-data curated, meaning the guide is based on manufacturer specifications, retailer listings, expert-source research, and editorial judgement.
We only use hands-on tested when a product has actually been used or measured by us and the evidence is recorded.
What we consider
- UK relevance and availability signals.
- Product specifications and suitability for the named use case.
- Trade-offs, limitations, and who should avoid the product.
- Source quality and recency.
- Whether claims can be substantiated without inventing tests, prices, ratings, or customer consensus.
What we do not do
- We do not scrape Amazon.
- We do not invent prices, ratings, review counts, availability, or test results.
- We do not claim hands-on testing unless it actually happened.
